5. Why are there conventional tankers in Teekay’s LNG fleet?

Teekay LNG’s fleet includes several conventional tankers which have similar contract profiles to the Partnership's LNG and LPG carriers; contracts that are in excess of 10 years with stable counter parties generate stable cash flows.

7. Why is natural gas shipped in the liquefied state?

By liquefying the natural gas, its volume is reduced by over 600 times, which allows vessels to carry much greater volumes and enables the transportation of natural gas on board ocean going vessels to be economically viable.

8. What is the typical length of Teekay LNG’s contracts?

Teekay LNG is focused on long-term fixed-rate contracts, which are typically 10-25 years in duration, which provide the Partnership with stable and predictable cash flows.
